Vintage 70's Tama Re-Ring Superstar 9606 KG 6.5 x 14 King Beat Birch Snare Drum in Natural Maple Finish

This is a great sounding and very rare thin shelled Tama Superstar "King Beat" #9606 KG drum with reinforcement rings from their earliest years of production (77-78).

At one point, the strainer was replaced with more common lever style and butt. We have restored it with an era appropriate parallel system. The snare wires have been replaced, but we will ship this with the original wires. Unfortunately this left 4 extra holes, but 3 of them are covered with this correct hardware.

Otherwise, the shell itself is in great shape.  All of the hardware is also very nice with minimal pitting. Muffler and strainer both work great. The batter side head is a Remo Control Sound coated, snare side is used Remo Renaissance Snare Side.

Did we mention that it sounds freaking fantastic?
